The Toronto Maple Leafs continue their road trip with Game 7 of the 2026-27 NHL season as they take on the Utah Mammoth, and Zack Phillips gets you set for puck drop with a full Leafs vs. Utah game preview!
John Tavares returns to the lineup after missing Toronto's win over the Colorado Avalanche, but his return brings some interesting decisions for head coach Jim Hiller. Tavares takes back his spot on the Maple Leafs' top power-play unit, replacing Gavin McKenna, who moves to the third line alongside Nick Paul and Colton Sissons. Zack breaks down the changes, whether McKenna deserves to remain on PP1 following his performance against Colorado, and how Tavares' return impacts Toronto's offensive combinations.
Plus, Anthony Stolarz gets the start in goal as the Maple Leafs look to build on their impressive 6-3 victory over the Avalanche. Chris Tanev remains sidelined with an injury, but Toronto will stick with six defencemen as Nick Blankenburg and Troy Stecher remain in the lineup. Zack also discusses Miles Wood continuing to sit out, the projected lineups, his keys to the game, and what the Leafs need to do to pick up another road victory.
Stick around for Zack's best bets, predictions and everything you need to know ahead of Leafs vs. Mammoth!
