The Virginia Cavaliers were holding onto a five-point lead two minutes into the second half of their game against Stanford when UVA took total control of the game. Virginia went on an 18-2 run with Stanford only making two free throws during that stretch. The Cavaliers were up 21 by the end of that run, and Virginia was in total control.
