Find Your Driver Release Point With the Smash Station Drill | Titleist

The driver's release point affects when the swing reaches maximum arm extension through impact. Joe Plecker uses the Smash Station drill to help golfers build an awareness for release timing that is too early, too late or properly matched to the ball position.

A flat impact bag and alignment rod create audible feedback as the trail arm, hand and shaft move through the hitting area. Plecker pairs that sound with the movement of the lead side, showing how golfers can create room for extension without pulling the handle too far forward.
