The 2026 USA Championships wrapped up in New York with 17-year-old Cooper Lutkenhaus delivering a masterful men's 800 victory, negative-splitting 1:43.4 to claim his first outdoor national title and cap a near-perfect season. Nia Aikens stunned the women's 800 field after a hit-and-run accident derailed her training, winning her third title in four years. Vincent Ciattei channeled a LetsRun.com article writing him off to win his first outdoor 5000 title at age 31, while Noah Lyles pulled up injured in the 200 and Grant Fisher scratched the 5000 with a foot injury. Tara Davis-Woodhall's long jump victory was thrown into chaos when her winning mark was retroactively changed to a foul.

ABOUT THE LETSRUN.COM PODCAST
Since 2000, LetsRun.com has been the independent home of elite running. Described by the New York Times as the "influential website that serves as something of a superego for American running," the podcast is the weekly deep dive into the world of track and field and elite distance running. The show is hosted by LetsRun.com co-founders Weldon Johnson, a 2-time Team USA member, and Robert Johnson, a former Cornell coach who helped pace the marathon world record, along with award-winning senior writer Jonathan Gault. Together they move beyond PR headlines to provide insider reporting and unfiltered debate serious fans rely on.
