Playing in the 2nd Round of the 2026 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament, the sixth-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies fought off an admirable effort from the eleventh-seeded Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to advance to the quarterfinals to take on third-seed North Carolina with a 62-54 victory. VT enjoyed a 24-5 advantage in points off of turnovers by forcing 17 GT turnovers. The Hokies also assisted on 15 of their 25 made baskets. Carleigh Wenzel and Mackenzie Nelson combined for 29 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Talayah Walker led all scorers with 20 points for Georgia Tech.
