This basically means he is able to create dangerous offence without putting the team in vulnerable situations with the puck.

And from smart passes down low around the net, where he may have a forecheckers hard on him. But in that chaos he spots the free option and fires a quick pass… again without really risking a bad turnover or wasting time.

He is efficient with his skill.
