Pitt jumped out to a 28-0 lead, and when Georgia Tech got the lead down to 35-28, Panthers running back Ja'Kyrian Turner broke off a 56-yard touchdown run to seal the game. Turner ran the ball 21 times for 201 yards and a touchdown. Pitt Quarterback Mason Heintschel completed 20 of 27 passes for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he had another rushing touchdown as well. Georgia Tech's Haynes King threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns on 27-41 passing. King was also the Yellow Jackets' leading rusher with 76 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
