Fresstyle standout Madi Mintenko is continuing her stellar freshman season with Virginia this week in Irvine. Last night, she stormed to a lead in the 400 free at the 150m mark and never looked back, besting the field by nearly 2 seconds and clocking a huge PB of 4:04.54.
Mintenko joined her UVA teammates before the competition for a training camp at the Olympic Training Center in her hometown of Colorado Springs. Mintenko was thrilled to combine two worlds during her taper: the place she grew up and the training partners she has come to know and enjoy.
