Jai Gordon wants his generation to help shape the future of Australian sprinting.
With Australia beginning to gain greater recognition internationally as a sprinting nation, Jai reflects on the opportunity for the current group to raise the standard and set the tone for the athletes who follow.
In ‘When I Was Their Age’, he also looks back on his own unconventional pathway into athletics, from missing representative teams and rarely progressing beyond school competition to discovering sprinting after looking for extra fitness.
