It's Auston Matthews vs. Connor McDavid as the Toronto Maple Leafs take on the Edmonton Oilers for Game 13 of the 2026-27 NHL season! Zack Phillips gets you set for puck drop with a full Leafs vs. Oilers game preview, breaking down the latest lineup news, injury updates, keys to the game, best bets and more!

The Maple Leafs are riding a three-game winning streak following victories over the San Jose Sharks, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, including a thrilling 5-4 win over New York thanks to Troy Stecher's last-minute game-winning goal. Now Toronto begins a four-game road trip against an Edmonton team that has been one of the NHL's best to start the season.

The biggest challenge will be slowing down Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who have been producing at an incredible pace. McDavid enters the matchup with 31 points through 10 games, including 13 points in his last three, while the Oilers boast the NHL's highest-scoring offence. Zack breaks down the Matthews vs. McDavid matchup, Gavin McKenna's first opportunity to face Edmonton's superstar, and what Toronto needs to do to contain the Oilers' dangerous power play.

Plus, the Maple Leafs are dealing with more injuries on the blue line after Nick Blankenburg was placed on injured reserve following Thursday's win over the Rangers. With Chris Tanev and Marshall Rifai also sidelined, Dakota Mermis and Cole McWard have been recalled as Jim Hiller considers adjustments to his defence. We'll also discuss Toronto's forward combinations, the goaltending matchup against Tristan Jarry, and whether the Leafs can extend their winning streak to four games.

Zack shares his projected lineup, keys to the game, best bets and predictions ahead of Leafs vs. Oilers!
