Combo and I get into this, and the Joey Crawford/Tim Duncan situation is the perfect example. Crawford himself admitted he was wrong. That's the rare case where we actually got confirmation.
Most of the time? People just run with a story, it builds momentum, and suddenly it's treated as gospel with zero evidence behind it.
