Looking at the all time top 25 offenses across D1, D2, D3, about 15 of them are among the slowest teams and about 10 are among the fastest. Almost none sit in the middle.⁣

The takeaway isn't slow or fast, it's commitment. You have to actually pick a pace and build your whole system around it. And even then, the exceptions are scripted too. Miss the shot and get pressed? Shoot it in eight seconds or less. Miss and they crash the boards? Jailbreak to the rim every time.⁣
