Nadal's whole strategy is hit my strength to their weakness, hit my strength to
their weakness, again and again and again until it gets borderline boring to
watch, because you already know exactly what he is going to do and he goes and
does it anyway. None of that is craftiness and none of it is him being sneaky or
tricky, he just found a pattern that works and he exploits it, and that is what
good competitors do.
If that sounds too boring to you and you would rather trade winning matches for
being creative and reaching for a different shot every point, go ahead, be my
guest.
The next time something works twice in a match, do not congratulate yourself and
move on to the next idea. Go back to it until your opponent proves they can
handle it.
