Dallas Cross-Matched Themselves Into a 14-Foot Runway for Wembanyama

Cooper Flagg has to recognize that cross-match the second the shot goes in. He needs to pick up Harper so Washington can get to Wemby, instead Wemby spins off the pressure with absurd balance and Stephon Castle barely has to throw an accurate lob to cash it in.⁣
⁣
Then Gafford compounds it, a roll pass above the free throw line is just a bad decision, and even though I respect the hustle to sprint back, he gets far enough off Wemby that Flagg gets lured into no-man's-land. That's how you end up fouling a guy with a 14 foot runway and handing him a free point at the line.⁣

This is exactly the kind of possession that turns a big night into a 52 point night. #shorts
