Interim Mets manager Andy Green appreciated starter Sean Manaea throwing 108 pitches over five innings to try and spare the bullpen but it didn't take away from Manaea's dreadful performance in allowing six earned runs in a 14-3 drubbing by the Braves. Green and Tyrone Taylor discussed a pop up that Taylor and SS Francisco Lindor allowed to drop, extending the inning for the Braves. In the end it was just one symptom of an all-around bad night.
