3D Printed Hand Fins Test in the Pool | Do They Actually Work?
Swimming
I 3D printed hand fins and took them to the pool just to mess around and see what they could do. No serious testing, just having fun underwater and seeing how they change movement and control. Definitely a different feel compared to normal swimming. Just a fun experiment, nothing too serious. Let me know if you think these actually help or just look cool.
That said, I think the material is the biggest issue. These were printed in PLA, and if they were made out of something more flexible like TPU, they’d probably work a lot better and feel more natural in the water.
Overall, fun experiment, cool visuals, but not something I’d actually use for swimming.
Let me know what I should test next.
