THIS is Cameron McEvoy, he’s the 50 freestyle world record holder that broke the long standing record back in March. He’s also the ONLY swimmer to swim that race in under 21 seconds without the help of a now banned full body rubber swimsuit, and he’s done it TWICE. ALL of this came after McEvoy came back to the sport in 2023 with a brand new training philosophy and a LASER focus on the 50 freestyle, but now after going faster than ANYONE in the long course 50 freestyle we’re seeing what he can do in a new format in a new event. We’re going to take a deep dive into Cam McEvoy’s swims from the recent series of world cup meets SPECIFICALLY looking at his newest focus: the 100 freestyle and see what we can glean from his swims and how his innovative training style might work in a new event.
