🚨 BUKAYO SAKA'S BALLON D'OR MOMENT OVERSHADOWED BY ABUSE ALLEGATIONS!

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka received the 2026 Sócrates Award at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London, recognising his outstanding charitable work and commitment to helping children through football.

But reports of abuse directed towards the Arsenal star have raised serious questions about the treatment of footballers, particularly during moments that should celebrate their achievements.

In today's Arsenal News Show, Tom Canton discusses the reported incident, celebrates Saka's humanitarian work, reacts to the Ballon d'Or results and previews Arsenal's Carabao Cup clash with Fleetwood Town.

🏆 SAKA'S SPECIAL BALLON D'OR RECOGNITION

Saka was honoured for his work with BigShoe, a charity helping children access life-changing medical treatment.

The England international used his acceptance speech to highlight the importance of giving children opportunities and helping them achieve their dreams.

We celebrate Saka's achievement while examining the reported abuse surrounding the event, the importance of establishing exactly what happened and why football must continue challenging unacceptable behaviour.

🥇 DECLAN RICE AND DAVID RAYA MISS OUT!

Arsenal enjoyed significant recognition at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony following their Premier League title triumph and run to the Champions League final.

However, DECLAN RICE finished 15th in the men's Ballon d'Or voting, while DAVID RAYA missed out on the Yashin Trophy, which went to Unai Simón.

With William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães and Mikel Arteta also recognised among the nominees, were Arsenal's achievements sufficiently reflected in the final results?

We discuss the voting, individual performances and whether Arsenal's players deserved greater recognition.

⚽ FLEETWOOD TOWN VS ARSENAL PREVIEW!

Arsenal travel to Highbury Stadium to face Fleetwood Town in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Mikel Arteta faces a significant selection challenge as the Gunners balance domestic cup ambitions with an important Premier League trip to Liverpool approaching.

Could we see MAX DOWMAN, CAEDACH O'NEIL and other young Arsenal talents handed opportunities?

And which senior players need minutes to strengthen their cases for regular first-team football?
