Alex Eala told the media it is “always an honour to represent the Philippines” as she confirmed she will play the Asian Games.

Eala made the comments at an event organised by her sponsor, BPI.

The tennis event at the 20th Asian Games is scheduled to run from September 27 to October 3, 2026, held in conjunction with the greater multi-sport event in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

A major highlight of the tournament is that the men’s and women’s singles champions will directly earn quota places for the LA 2028 Olympics.
