Fresh twist in F1's long-running driver saga explained

A long-running driver saga is finally over with Franco Colapinto set to be confirmed as an Alpine race driver for 2026 alongside Pierre Gasly.

But that in turn creates uncertainty over the future of Alpine’s jilted former F1 driver Jack Doohan, who has been stuck on the sidelines after being dropped for Colapinto earlier this year.
