Casper Ruud: “I’ve chosen” to keep my distance from my competitors | Karen Khachanov: Safin my hero

Casper Ruud explains his YouTube channel: “I wanted to show fans what life is like as a tennis player, behind the scenes.”

Both Ruud and Karen Khachanov were asked who they could play from tennis history, one time, someone they have never played.

Ruud: "I would love to have played Bjorn Borg. Coming from Norway, Sweden is close."

Khachanov: "I would love to have played Marit Safin. He was my hero growing up."

On his best tennis memory, Ruud said: “Playing Grand Slam finals in Roland Garros is the biggest memory of my life, even though I lost both times, to Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.”

On friendships with other players on tour, Ruud and Khachanov had contrasting perspectives:

“I’ve chosen” to keep my distance from my competitors, Ruud says.

Khachanov says hi situation is completely different, growing up with and playing Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev since they were 10 years old.
