Leafs vs Sharks Game 10 Preview: Nylander Questionable, Lettieri & Akhtyamov Called Up, & Best Bets

It's Gavin McKenna vs. Macklin Celebrini as the Toronto Maple Leafs host the San Jose Sharks for Game 10 of the 2026-27 NHL season! Zack Phillips gets you set for puck drop with a full Leafs vs. Sharks game preview, breaking down the biggest storylines, lineup updates, keys to the game, best bets and more.

The Maple Leafs are looking to snap a three-game losing streak following a disappointing 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders, but they'll have to overcome more lineup uncertainty. William Nylander missed the morning skate with an illness and is a game-time decision, while John Tavares and Chris Tanev remain sidelined. Sergei Bobrovsky gets the start in goal, Vinni Lettieri has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies, and Jim Hiller continues searching for answers as Toronto looks to get back in the win column.

One of the biggest storylines is the first NHL meeting between Gavin McKenna and Macklin Celebrini, two of hockey's brightest young stars. McKenna also goes head-to-head with Ivar Stenberg, the second overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, as the Maple Leafs look for a response from their rookie following a turbulent week that included a controversial benching against Buffalo and increased responsibilities against the Islanders.

Plus, Zack breaks down Auston Matthews' matchup against San Jose, Toronto's offensive struggles, the latest lineup combinations, and what the Leafs need to do defensively to slow down Celebrini, Will Smith and the Sharks' young offensive core.
