Jason McCourty breaks down Cam Ward’s early struggles with the Tennessee Titans and why the highly touted rookie hasn’t yet looked like the confident quarterback we saw at Miami.
McCourty discusses Ward’s hesitation, the challenge of learning another new offensive system, and the impact of multiple play-callers over the past two seasons. He also explains why there’s still reason for optimism, pointing to Ward’s preparation, football IQ, pre-snap awareness, work ethic and natural talent.
Kevin Clark and McCourty also discuss what the Titans can do to help Ward improve, including getting the running game going and building chemistry with young weapons like Carnell Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson.
