🇰🇿 Dastan Satpayev Joins Burnley On Loan From Chelsea | FIRST INTERVIEW

Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce that Kazakhstan international Dastan Satpayev has joined the Club on a season-long deal from Chelsea.

The 18-year-old forward, who already has nine senior national team caps and a goal to his name, arrives at Turf Moor having already scored 27 goals in 63 appearances in his native country.

After making the move to Lancashire, Satpayev said: "I'm very pleased to be here. It's a great opportunity for me in my career and a great club to show what I can do and help the team get back to where they belong.

"It's my first time playing in England and I'm ready now to take on the next chapter and have a successful time with Burnley."

Born in Almaty, Satpayev joined the academy of Kairat Almaty at just eight years old and after quickly rising through the ranks of the Kazakhstan Premier League side, the youngster's first taste of senior football came during the 2023/24 campaign.

The teenager featured for Kairat's reserve team, who play in the second tier, where he scored one goal in five appearances, before going on to make his senior debut later that season in May 2024 as a substitute.

2025 then proved to be a special year for Satpayev. After receiving his first senior national team call-up in March and making his debut in a friendly win against Curaçao, the forward also became the youngest ever player to play for Kazakhstan.

Further achievements followed that same year. After becoming the youngest Kazakh to play in a UEFA Champions League game, featuring against the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan, Satpayev then bagged his first Champions League goal in November last year against FC Copenhagen

That feat came just a week after he had recorded his first senior goal for the national team, scoring the opener in a World Cup Qualifier draw against Belgium.

Satpayev's nine-year stay at Kairat then came to an end this summer, after making the move to Chelsea in July, where he was part of Xabi Alonso's pre-season tour in Australia and again scored in a win over Western Sydney.

The 2026/27 campaign will now see the exciting prospect spend the season at Turf Moor with Nicky Hayen's men.
