I Watched Ohio State COLLAPSE vs Cincinnati... Here's What Happened

The Ohio State Buckeyes blew a nine-point lead and lost to Cincinnati 79-68 in the 2026 CareSource Invitational. The Ohio State vs. Cincinnati exhibition game wasn't televised, but I was there in person. Here's what happened, why the Buckeyes collapsed, and what it means for Jake Diebler's team heading into the 2026-27 college basketball season.

In this LIVE episode of Views From The Schott Podcast, we're breaking down Ohio State's loss to the Cincinnati Bearcats on October 7, 2026, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

After leading 35-30 at halftime, Ohio State struggled down the stretch as Cincinnati took control in the second half. John Mobley Jr. led the Buckeyes with 15 points, but poor shooting, turnovers, and missed opportunities contributed to a disappointing exhibition loss.

With no television broadcast available, I'm bringing you firsthand observations from inside the arena, including what stood out, where Ohio State struggled, and what fans should take away from the performance.
