First pitch is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. ET, with right-hander Brady Singer taking the mound for Cincinnati against Dodgers left-hander Justin Wrobleski. Singer enters the finale 6-14 with a 5.38 ERA and 125 strikeouts, while Wrobleski is 11-5 with a 3.78 ERA and 111 strikeouts.

The Reds kept Los Angeles from celebrating an NL West championship Wednesday night with a 6-2 victory. Elly De La Cruz delivered the biggest swing, launching a two-run home run in the third inning to give Cincinnati the lead. It was De La Cruz's 28th homer of the season and his fifth against the Dodgers in 2026, the most by any opposing hitter against Los Angeles this season. Dane Myers also homered, while Sal Stewart collected three hits and TJ Friedl drove in two runs.

Los Angeles was forced into an unexpected bullpen game after Blake Snell exited following just one inning with left groin tightness. The Dodgers eventually used six relievers after Snell's departure, adding more stress to the pitching staff heading into Thursday's quick turnaround.

For Cincinnati, the focus shifts to Singer. The veteran right-hander has endured an inconsistent season, and Thursday presents a difficult challenge against a Dodgers lineup loaded with dangerous hitters. Keeping runners off base will be particularly important after Los Angeles created plenty of traffic Wednesday despite scoring only twice. The Dodgers stranded 12 runners and finished 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

Wrobleski gives Los Angeles a chance to stabilize its pitching after Wednesday's bullpen-heavy loss. The left-hander has been considerably more effective statistically than Singer this season, making Cincinnati's young hitters an important part of Thursday's matchup.

Although the Reds have already been eliminated from postseason contention, they still have an opportunity to finish the series on a positive note. Cincinnati enters Thursday at 71-81, while the Dodgers are 92-60 and remain on the verge of securing another NL West championship.

A Reds victory would give Cincinnati a split of the four-game series and force Los Angeles to wait a little longer before celebrating a division title.
