‘Did Arsenal bottle it?’
After a week of soul searching following their home defeat to Bournemouth, the ‘B’ word has been doing the rounds as Arsenal travelled to Manchester City knowing anything but a loss would keep them in pole position to win their first Premier League title in 22 years.
However, despite a valiant display in which they pushed Pep Guardiola’s men to the brink of a draw, Kai Havertz agonisingly heading the ball over the ball deep into stoppage time, they succumbed to a 2-1 loss and no longer have the title in their hands.
The way Mikel Arteta approached the game impressed the Football Weekly panel, as they went toe-to-toe with the most expensive assembled side in the league.
