Before the 25th round, Zarechye had settled in third place in the standings, which they would not lose regardless of the outcome of the remaining two matches in the preliminary stage, but they would not rise higher. Despite the lack of tournament motivation, the team from the Moscow region was as determined to win as always. Dynamo, on the other hand, was engaged in a fierce battle with Leningradka for fourth place, making victory in this match crucial.

The first set began in an equal struggle. The tide turned after Angelina Lazareva blocked her opponents twice, and Elizaveta Lukyanova hit an ace, giving the capital club a 13-11 lead. Dynamo then overwhelmed Zarechye with their confident and organized team play. The Zarechye players began to make mistakes in their attempts to break through the powerful block, resulting in their attacks ending in out-of-bounds hits. By the end of the set, Arkady Kozlov's team had increased their advantage to nine points, and Irina Kapustina delivered the winning blow with a non-retrievable hit, resulting in a score of 25:16.

In the second set, there were no more huge gaps in the score. The teams fought for every point and were tied for a long time. Dynamo managed to gain a +3 lead after Zarechye made three consecutive mistakes in attack, resulting in a score of 18:15. However, the Zarechye team then made a comeback, winning five consecutive sets, resulting in a score of 20:18. In a tense ending full of setballs, the Odintsovo club's nerves proved stronger, resulting in a score of 33:31.

At the start of the third set, Zarechye took the lead after accurate attacks by Angelina Sperskayte and Olga Biryukova – 9:6. The hosts gradually caught up with their opponents, and after a straight-through serve by Lukyanova, they gained a significant advantage in the score – 18:15. However, as in the previous set, the intensity of the game was intense, and the outcome was determined by the balance of power. Yulia Brovkina led her team forward with a pass, and then the Dinamo players made a mistake in the attack, resulting in a 28-26 victory for Zarechye.

In the fourth set, the guests finally took the initiative into their own hands. Biryukova and Bogumila Byarda found a gap in Dynamo's defense with their attacks, giving their team a six-point lead by the middle of the set - 16:10. The blue-and-white team fought selflessly, but they lacked the quality of their reception to even the game - 25:17 and 3:1 in sets in favor of Zarechye-Odintsovo.
