The De'Aaron Fox ankle injury sparked a real conversation about a rule I think needs to exist: you cannot dive for a loose ball if the other player's legs are between you and the ball. Full stop.
This one was close. Fox did get a little wide in his stance going down for it, which opened the door for contact. So I'm not calling it dirty. But the outcome is the same either way — a key player is compromised in the playoffs.
Coach Nick breaks it down and I think he's right that we need a clearer standard here. Diving for loose balls is part of the game. Diving through someone's legs shouldn't be. #shorts
