At the start of the match, Daria Kiseleva and her serve shone brightly, causing the Chelyabinsk reception to burst at the seams (an ace and six blocked receptions) – 8:0. By the middle of the set, Chelyabinsk gradually began to close the gap – 12:15. The excellent play of the Kaliningrad volleyball players on the block created serious difficulties for the opponents. The turning point came with the serve of Polina Yunikova, and a timely double substitution (Kudryashova and Zvorygina) helped Metar take the lead – 21:20. The hosts earned a set point first, but Kaliningrad showed resilience, regaining two points and tying the score (24:24). In a tense finish, a decisive net touch by the visitors brought victory in the game for Alexey Deshin's team – 27:25.

The second set was completely different from the first. The Chelyabinsk players quickly adapted, demonstrating a confident game from the very beginning and taking the lead with successful serves and accurate attacks (11:8). Kisi Nascimento, as expected, was the main force of the Kaliningrad team, while Elizaveta Dikikh carried the same burden for the opponents. By the end of the set, the Chelyabinsk players had a minimal lead (19:18). The game was exceptionally even and exciting, with highlights from both teams. Angelina Emelina stood out, whose powerful attack restored equality after Lokomotiv took the lead (22:22). Chelyabinsk was the first to get a set point, but the visitors did not give up, winning back two crucial points in a row. However, in the end, Metar proved to be stronger in the balance game, with Olga Fornaleva's ace securing the victory.

The third set followed a familiar pattern: both teams displayed incredible will to win, fighting for every point. It wasn't until the middle of the set that Chelyabinsk managed to create a slight advantage, leading 15-11. At this point, Anastasia Kapralova replaced Ekaterina Pipunyrova in the Kaliningrad team. Her appearance significantly revitalized the team's play, allowing them to reduce the gap to a minimum of 14:15. When the scoreboard showed 20:20, the game entered a critical stage, particularly important for Kaliningrad, as this set could determine their continued participation in the match. Lokomotiv earned the first set point, but failed to capitalize on it immediately. It was only on the second attempt that Valeria Zaitseva secured the set, resulting in a score of 26:24 in favor of the visitors.

Chelyabinsk was eager to finish the game in four sets, and from the very start of the match, they attacked their opponent with all their might, taking advantage of their mistakes. However, by the middle of the match, Lokomotiv managed to turn the tide of the game, equalizing the score with a block and then a serve from Kiseleva, and eventually taking the lead. Alexey Deshin, having exhausted his timeouts, was forced to make substitutions in an attempt to stabilize the game (13:15). At the end of the set, Chelyabinsk had trouble attacking, which Kaliningrad took advantage of, maintaining their lead and bringing the score to 23:20. Vera Kostyuchik's final ace marked the end of the set, with the score remaining at 25:20.

There was a lot of drama and physical tension in the fifth set. The home team started positively (3:1), but the visitors were worried. Lokomotiv was losing momentum, and by the change of sides, the Chelyabinsk team was leading 8:5. However, on the serve of Ekaterina Lazareva, Kaliningrad managed to turn the tide of the game and tie the score (11:11). Lazareva continued to perform well on the serve, helping her team maintain their advantage. The final point in the game and the match was made by a mistake by the Chelyabinsk team, which allowed Lokomotiv to win with a score of 11:15.
