Colorado is coming off a 3-9 season and still searching for an identity in the post-Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter era. Deion Sanders brought in Brennan Marion to install the Go-Go offense, with Julian Lewis expected to take over at quarterback and a rebuilt group of running backs, receivers and offensive linemen surrounding him. The system should be fun, fast and more balanced, but after Colorado struggled badly to run the football last season, how quickly can all of these new pieces actually make it work?
We also break down a defense that struggled against the run, gave up too many big plays and now has another new coordinator, plus a schedule that leaves very little room for a slow start. There are reasons to be intrigued by Lewis, the receivers and Marion’s offense, but Colorado needs to prove it can block, run the ball and defend consistently before we buy into a major turnaround.
