The Philadelphia Flyers are 0-4-2 to start the season and tonight play the team they never beat- the Carolina Hurricanes, a little over 24 hours after Philly dropped its 6th straight to open the season.

Danny Briere has provided Rick Tocchet with SOME reinforcement, calling up rookie defenseman Oliver Bonk after utilizing Helge Grans yesterday on the depleted blueline. But really, the Flyers just need to play harder. Whether you call it “effort,” “compete level,” or “jam” the Flyers haven’t been fighting hard enough to win this season, and therefore they haven’t won.

Bill & Michael Ellerman preview the matchup, discussing the lineup, goaltending, and bitterly disappointing winless start to the season.
