Jepkirui ran 19:24, breaking Katelyn Tuohy’s course record from the 2022 NCAA Championships by three seconds. Oklahoma State coach Dave Smith texted Robert that conditions were actually much faster when Tuohy set the record: cold, firm ground and short dormant grass. This year it was 75 degrees, humid, wet and soft, with thick grass.
