The Dallas Stars will face the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second time in just six days as the two teams square off tonight at Nationwide Arena (6 p.m. CT). The Stars won the first meeting 3-1 last Saturday on Halloween at American Airlines Center, which featured a Mikko Rantanen power play goal, a first period buzzer-beater from Thomas Harley, which snapped a 29-game goal drought for the defenseman, a Damon Severson third period goal for the Blue Jackets and an empty net tally from Arttu Hyry, which was the Stars’ first empty-netter of the 2026-27 season. In the rematch, the Stars will have to play without both Miro Heiskanen (upper body injury) and Sam Steel (personal reasons), so rookie Trey Taylor and veteran Colin Blackwell will both check into the lineup. The Blue Jackets are coming off a 7-2 demolition of the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night in Columbus, getting a big night from the third line of Charlie Coyle (2-2-4), Mathieu Olivier (1-2-3) and Cole Sillinger (1-1-2). On tonight’s DLLS Stars Pregame Show, we will discuss all the big storylines, hear Glen Gulutzan, Rick Bowness, Casey DeSmith and Charlie Coyle, we will take a look at the expected lineups and get you ready for puck drop at Nationwide Arena. Expected starting goaltenders: Casey DeSmith (DAL) vs. Cam Talbot (CBJ).
