Fußball und der 1. FC Köln waren schon immer ein wichtiger Teil in Alexandras Leben – bis ein Zeckenbiss und eine schwere Neuroborreliose ihre Fußballträume mit 17 Jahren abrupt beendeten. Nach schweren Folgeschäden und einem Jahr im Rollstuhl schien Fußball für sie Geschichte zu sein.
Jahre später entdeckte sie das inklusive Walking-Football-Angebot der FC-Stiftung. Nur zwei Wochen nach ihrer Anmeldung stand sie erstmals seit Jahren wieder mit einem Ball am Fuß auf dem Platz. Ein emotionaler Moment und der Beginn ihrer Rückkehr zum Fußball.
