Volleyball
The match began with a powerful surge by the hosts, who led 11:2 after three consecutive accurate attacks by Irina Kapustina. The Ekaterinburg team struggled with their reception, unable to cope with Anastasia Chernova's serves. Mikhail Karpol, the head coach of Uralochka, took two timeouts early in the game, but it did not help to improve the team's performance. Dinamo confidently took the first set, leading 25:13 after a powerful serve by Natalia Goncharova.
After the break, the guests played more effectively and put up a fight at the start of the second set (8:8). Dynamo was much better at receiving and eventually took a five-point lead (18:13). In the final part of the game, Uralochka, mainly thanks to the efforts of Branka Tica, came close to the opponent (22:21), but was unable to win the set. The match ended 25:22 in favor of the capital club after Chernova blocked Elizaveta Pavlova.
The next set was almost identical to the second one. Once again, there was an equal struggle at the beginning, and then Sergei Sichev's team achieved a +6 lead (12:6), but this time, the Ural volleyball players found the strength to turn the tide of the set. Mikhail Karpol's team equalized the score with an organized block, and in the final moments, Pavlova scored the winning point, resulting in a 25:23 victory for Uralochka.
The fourth set was the most dramatic. The visitors immediately took the lead and continued to build their advantage (10:5). The Dinamo players slowed down a bit, but they were unable to stop their opponents' attacks. After Pavlova's ace, Uralochka led by seven points, 20:13. It seemed that a third tiebreaker was inevitable. However, Dinamo made an impressive comeback.
Elizaveta Lukyanova won one point with a block-out, after which Kapustina took over and demonstrated her nerves of steel at a crucial moment. The Dynamo player fired a series of difficult serves, three of which turned into aces, and helped her team take the lead – 21:20. In the tense final, Natalia Goncharova, the captain of the Moscow team, earned the winning point with a block – 25:23, 3:1 in the match and 3:0 in the series in favor of Dynamo!
