Virginia Tech vs. Miami: The Hurricanes had to survive a potential game-winning shot from the Hokies in the final seconds in order to come away with a 67-66 victory. Tre Donaldson scored the final 15 points for Miami, including a go-ahead free throw with 12.5 seconds remaining. Virginia Tech's Ben Hammond lost his footing while driving to the basket for the game-winner, and the shot bounced off the rim. Miami got an edge over Virginia Tech by converting 13 offensive rebounds into 19 second-chance points. Donaldson finished the game with a career high 32 points on 13-24 shooting. Dante Allen was the only other Hurricane in double-figures with 10 points, to go with five rebounds. Amani Hansberry led the Hokies with 16 points and five rebounds.
