Week 9 QB rankings and QB tiers: Ian Hartitz ranks his top 30 quarterbacks for Week 9 of fantasy football (with the Steelers and Titans on bye) and sorts them into four tiers. Josh Allen is the QB1 even in a tough Monday night matchup at Minnesota, Kirk Cousins is the QB12, and Malik Willis is the QB16 and the streamer of the week against a Lions defense allowing nearly five more fantasy points per game to quarterbacks than the next-worst group. After each of the first three tiers Ian stops for a bigger question about the position.

TIER 1: THE BIG 10
Josh Allen, Drake Maye, Brock Purdy, Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, Trevor Lawrence, Dak Prescott, Caleb Williams, Jordan Love, Jayden Daniels.
Key question: who has the best game environments in Week 9? Team implied points against the opposing defense's fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.

TIER 2: FEELING GOOD WITH ONE QUESTION
Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, C.J. Stroud, Matthew Stafford, Tyler Shough, Malik Willis, Geno Smith.
Key question: what are the biggest offensive changes from Weeks 1-4 to Weeks 5-8? The Dolphins, Patriots, Bengals, Packers and Giants are up, the Ravens, 49ers, Chargers, Panthers and Cowboys are down.

TIER 3: WOULD PREFER SOMEONE ELSE
Deshaun Watson, Bo Nix, Bryce Young, J.J. McCarthy, Kyler Murray, Sam Darnold, Michael Penix, Daniel Jones.
Key question: who should fantasy managers stream around the byes? Malik Willis is the top option in Weeks 9, 10 and 11.

TIER 4: YIKES
Tanner McKee, Baker Mayfield, Gardner Minshew, Justin Herbert, Joe Fagnano.
