I went into the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon with a simple goal: break 2:40.
As someone who spends most of my time training for trail races and ultramarathons, this felt like an experiment. Could I translate my endurance from the trails to a faster road marathon?
In this vlog, I take you behind the scenes of race week in Los Angeles - including time spent with the team at Precision Fuel & Hydration, who helped design a race-day fueling strategy to give me the best shot at hitting the goal.
We cover:
– Race week prep
– Building a fueling strategy with Precision Fuel & Hydration
– Race morning and the LA Marathon start line
– How the race unfolded mile by mile
– My final time and reflections
With a summer of 100-mile races ahead, this was a fascinating test of speed, fueling, and race execution.
