The defending NCAA Champion in the 200 IM, Maximus Williamson, won the same event in LCM last week in Irvine. Clocking a PB of 1:56.40, the rising Virginia sophomore became the #8 American performer of all-time.
It seemed the UVA coaching staff and Williamson set his event lineup for it to culminate in a good 200 IM, as he opted to swim every 100 of stroke (Fly, Back, Breast, and Free, going PBs in all 4) on the way to his national title.
