I wasn't going to film tonight. But something has shifted in our fanbase over the last 48 hours and on the eve of the biggest game in Tottenham's modern history, I don't think it helps us.
This is a solo one, and it's a plea. In every WhatsApp group, every timeline, every conversation, the same thing has started to take hold: booing the players at full time, projecting our anger at everyone who's contributed to this season. And look — the anger is fair. It's been a disaster of a season. The honest conversations about whether the right people are leading this club absolutely have to happen.
But not now. Not before this game.
Fans do make a difference — we always have. The margins in a football match are tiny; sometimes it's whoever gets a toe to the ball first. If we can create the right culture and atmosphere on the final day, we could be that inch. So why would we hand ourselves a disadvantage before a ball is even kicked?
This isn't me telling you you're wrong to be angry. It's me asking: why now? Give the players — a squad on its knees, four managers deep, finally finding some form — four more days. Let's go down that High Road in the sun, build it up, and back the team for 90 minutes. Then, on Monday, we have every conversation we need to have.
