BEHIND THE NY – Episode 13 – Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 | NEW YORK YANKEES 2026

In recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the New York Yankees honored the victims, survivors, first responders and families impacted by the tragedy through a series of commemorative activities and community outreach initiatives on and off the field. Episode 13 of "Behind the NY" takes you through how the Yankees organization pledged to #NeverForget.

From visits to FDNY firehouses and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum to care-package assembly and a kids-only press conference, Yankees players, coaches and front office personnel came together to support those who continue to carry the legacy of September 11.

The Yankees also welcomed members of the NYPD, FDNY, PAPD, Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Tuesday’s Promise throughout the week, culminating in a special pregame ceremony at Yankee Stadium featuring members of the 2001 Yankees team, first responders, and families whose lives were forever changed by 9/11. When the New York Yankees and New York Mets faced off against each other for the Subway Series, it was more than just a game.

Through remembrance, service and community, the Yankees continue to honor the enduring spirit of New York and our nation.
