The Dinamo players were more confident in the opening segment of the match, leading 7:3 after Irina Kapustina's block on Anastasia Garelik. The Leningradka players struggled with their offensive play, sending the balls out of bounds, which further increased the Dinamo team's advantage (15:8). Gradually, Alexander Kashin's team improved their game and almost caught up with their opponents after Garelik's accurate shot, resulting in a 20:19 victory for Dinamo. At the decisive moment, the Dinamo players used one of their main weapons – the block. Three effective blocks by Kapustina and Angelina Lazareva led to the victory of the white-and-blue team – 25:20.
In the second set, the match was evenly contested until the score reached 5:5. Anastasia Manzhosova and Natalia Goncharova skillfully completed their attacks, followed by Elizaveta Sinitsyna's blocking skills, resulting in a 11:6 advantage for the Moscow club. The St. Petersburg team's offense continued to struggle, while the Dynamo players were focused and determined to win. They successfully completed the set with a score of 25:16.
In the third set, Kashin's team seemed to create intrigue in the match. With their well-coordinated defensive actions and Victoria Russu's ace, Leningradka led 8:4. However, by the middle of the set, Dynamo equalized the score and then took the lead, 16:14, after a precise strike by Kapustina. From there, Arkady Kozlov's team was unstoppable. Dynamo did not allow anyone to doubt their class and played a brilliant final set, forcing their opponent to surrender – 25:19 and 3:0 in sets.
