Puka Nacua opens at WR1, DJ Moore lands at WR9 in his first Week 2 as a Bill, Drake London sits at WR26, and Jordan Addison comes in at WR37 with a matchup that makes him this week's exception.

The Addison case in one line: he ran one of the deepest route trees in the league in Week 1 at 13.8 average route depth, and downfield targets are usually a warning sign rather than a selling point. Against a man-heavy Bears secondary, Ian has him as the exception to his own rule.

Which receivers had the most downfield-oriented roles in Week 1? Every receiver with an average route depth of 12-plus yards is on screen, with the note that a deep role only hurts when it comes instead of a full-time one. That is the flag on Brian Thomas Jr., Alec Pierce and Marvin Harrison Jr., and the reason Addison is the exception.

Who are the under-the-radar bench stashes for deep leagues? Nine names, all 20% owned or lower on both ESPN and Yahoo, ranked in Ian's order. Dontayvion Wicks, Adonai Mitchell and Rashod Bateman are the preferred Week 2 starts, and Tre' Harris rises to the top of that group if Ladd McConkey (ribs) cannot go.

Which matchups and totals move the needle? Cowboys at Commanders carries the second-highest total on the slate, behind only Lions at Bills. And if McConkey sits, Quentin Johnston moves up to roughly WR29 or WR30.
