'It’s much worse than Southgate’

England are out of the World Cup after losing 2-1 to Argentina in the semi-final of the competition.
After taking the lead through Anthony Gordon in the 55th minute it looked as though their 60-year wait for another World Cup final was about to end, however Argentina fought back with a long range stunner by Enzo Fernández and a Lautaro Martínez 91st minute winner means they now have the chance to win back-to-back World Cups.
However Thomas Tuchel’s substitutions have been called into question with the World Cup Daily panel suggesting that England were too negative with flashbacks to defeats under former manager Gareth Southgate.
It remains to be seen whether Tuchel will be given another major tournament as England manager.
