16-year-old Rylee Erisman had a strong in-season showing at the Westmont Pro Swim, finishing 2nd in the 50, 100, and 200 free as well as 9th in the 400 free. Speaking with SwimSwam at the meet, Erisman shared a 4-week progression she had just finished the Monday before coming to Illinois.
On a Monday afternoon, she started with 4x400 off the blocks. The next Monday, she did 4x300, the next Monday 4x200, and the Monday before Westmont, she suited up and did 4x100 (one of them was all out), where she went 46.9 (scy).
