I think the lack of success from both the Bengals and the Browns consistently has allowed Ohio State to elevate itself as far as the state of Ohio to be a bigger deal than both professionals franchise.

This is one of those moments where I think is as a Browns fan, you know, part of the alumni, you look at it and you just go, all right, hope it works out. You know, we don't know until they start playing games.

The Browns would like to have him back to and he has them wants to happen back and I think you know, they're they're in all likelihood gonna sit here and try to let cooler heads prevail and we'll see what happens.

You could be the Cleveland Browns. Because the Cleveland Browns have identified their new coach, Todd Monkin is going to be the guy. A former offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, he was named head coach by the Cleveland Browns and in the process, apparently they pissed off Jim Schwartz, their defensive coordinator, who was under the impression that he would be getting the gig.

The Cleveland Browns just can't get it right and the New York Jets just don't have anybody we'll explain. We're also going to talk about the fallout from the decision to snub Bill Belichick as a first ballot member of the Hall of Fame.

I think the lack of success from both the Bengals and the Browns consistently has allowed Ohio State to elevate itself as far as the state of Ohio to be a bigger deal than both professionals franchise. That's my theory on that.

You have to convert those stats to AFB adjusted for Browns. Sure, on a normal team, seven touchdowns and ten interceptions will get you cut, but by the chronically low standards of the Browns, those numbers in AFB come out to seventy two touchdowns and only one interception if you ask me.

The difference is like he does have super Bowls to look at, and at one point point two for his success for the Browns, there's nothing and this team, because they keep knocking everything down and building back up again. It feels like they've never really gotten past the the expansion expansion franchise that they really were when they came back in ninety nine.

The latest report I saw was that Jim Schwartz is gaining momentum on being the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns. You've got this, Brady mentioned earlier, guys pulling out left and right from the Browns job. As awkward as that sounds, it's the truth.

Brady mentioned earlier guys pulling out left and right from the Browns job. As awkward as that sounds, it's the truth. And we're talking about the Browns job and not anybody in the Cleveland area, but they are just left and right don't want to be a part of it.

This has not been an easy year for the Browns. He handled it publicly extremely well. Even it's press conference yesterday that I was watching, just handled everything. That's what you need as a head coach is someone a leader that can handle adversity.

I mean, like the Browns led the league in yak per reception in this in you know, in this week of football all thirty two teams, Brown's had the highest YAK per reception. Now the Dylan Sans part of the part of that, but like mal Kai Corley averaged twelve yards of pop after the catch, you know, and that's what we had talked about with him coming into the draft.

Look, man, they got a lot of things, and I think the one thing that bows well for the Cleveland Browns is the young players are playing really, really well.

The Browns sack Drake May five times when they played man. They had their interception in man coverage. Like those types of things are the things that when we're on the show in January and maybe February and we're talking about why did they lose in the playoffs.

They're just catching the Patriots and I'm sorry the Browns off guard here. I just loved the mix of this drive. I thought Josh McDaniels was as everyone would say, Josh was in his bag.

My question, how can we get Trevion going against the Browns this week will be an interesting matchup seeing his college teammate Judkins on the other side. Man he thought Henderson was the better prospect in the pre draft process.

You know, the key matchup to me is the does the Patriots defense finally take a bad offense and make it look bad, because that's what generally happens to the Browns defense. They're on the field too much. You just can't you can't hold everything the whole time.

Said on Patriots Unfiltered, 6:46· Patriots Unfiltered 10/22: Browns Preview, Vrabel Presser/Reaction, Pats to Pro HOF Voting

I think that there's certain vulnerabilities in the Browns defense that really play into the strains the Patriots offense. I think, you know, play action, moving the pocket, deep shots down the field. They've struggled with all those types of things.

They move up around in the fifth, Browns continue to add to their war chest of of assets in next year's draft while they're playing all these young rookies, including a quarterback in Dylan Gabriel. You had to do this, though, Buck, if you're Cincinnati, you couldn't trot Browning out there the week now.

How these quotes are chosen

Each excerpt is copied word for word from a transcript the podcast publisher supplies with the episode. Nothing is paraphrased, shortened mid-sentence, or stitched together from two speakers. The timestamp is where the passage begins — 12:53on the first quote above — and the link opens the episode at that point.

Transcripts label voices as “Speaker 1”, not by name, so every quote is attributed to the SHOW unless the speaker identified themselves on the recording. We never guess who spoke. If a quote here is wrong, use “Report this quote” and we unpublish it immediately while we check.

Podcasters who have claimed their show can opt out of quoting entirely.
