After being no-hit for six innings, the Tigers erupted for seven runs in the seventh inning, highlighted by back-to-back-to-back home runs from Derek Curiel, Cade Arrambide and Jake Brown. It was a stunning rally that tied the game and gave LSU life.

But as has been the case too often, LSU couldn’t hold it.

Ole Miss answered immediately in the bottom half, taking advantage of defensive miscues and pushing across the go-ahead run in what became an 8-7 loss—and a series sweep in Oxford.
