Cobra OPTM X vs OPTM LS driver: which one fits your game?
Both are 460cc, low-spin Cobra drivers with the FutureFit33 adjustable hosel. The choice comes down to head shape and forgiveness: Cobra positions the LS as its compact, low-launch, low-spin model and the X as a slightly larger head that adds forgiveness on off-center hits.

- You do not need a draw setting in the weights. The X's 11g weight goes in the back (neutral) or toe (fade-biased).

- You swing fast. PGA TOUR says the LS tends to work best for faster swingers, and Plugged In Golf reached a similar view.
- You want the most weight settings. The LS's 11g weight goes in the back (neutral), heel (draw-biased) or toe (fade-biased).
- You accept a modest effect from moving weight: Plugged In Golf's hands-on review found the ball-flight changes minor.

Common questions
Is the OPTM X more forgiving than the OPTM LS?
Cobra says so: it describes the X as a slightly larger profile with added forgiveness on off-center hits. Cobra's pages rate spin on a low-to-high scale rather than in rpm, and we have not tested these drivers, so we do not quote spin numbers.
Can both drivers be weighted for a draw?
Only the LS. Cobra lists a heel (draw-biased) position for the LS's 11g weight, while the X's 11g weight goes in the back or toe. Both have the FutureFit33 hosel for adjusting loft and lie.
What lofts do the OPTM X and OPTM LS come in?
Cobra lists 9.0° and 10.5° as stock lofts for both. The tables on this page show which variants the Cobra catalog has in stock right now.
