Richie Saunders Houston Rockets NBA Draft Profile: BYU Wing Could Be MAJOR Second Round STEAL

Houston Rockets could eye BYU sharpshooter Richie Saunders as a potential second-round steal. Could the 3-and-D wing’s elite shooting and high basketball IQ help solve the Rockets’ bench woes despite a recent ACL injury threatening his draft stock?

Host Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) is joined by weekly cohost and NBA Draft enthusiast Madison Moore (@MadManLeaks) break down Saunders’ fit with Houston, analyzing his spot-up shooting, movement off the ball, and defensive versatility. Key comparisons include Garrison Mathews, Max Strus, and Dante DiVincenzo, exploring Saunders’ ceiling and floor as an NBA role player. The discussion highlights the strategic value of older rookies, the importance of landing impact contributors in the second round, and how Houston might capitalize on Saunders’ injury-induced slide. Don’t miss this insider look at the Rockets’ draft options and the key traits that could make Richie Saunders a difference-maker in clutch playoff moments.
